After pitching a few game concepts, we settled for a fast paced game with an intuitive gameplay.

Ever wondered what happens inside a data cable ? It’s actually way more fun than one could expect. Forget about data transfers, complex compression algorythms, endpoints and all that boring stuff. What really happens is that your data are transfered by tiny little robots flying through cables.

It’s your time to shine! As the posterboy (rather “poster robot”) of high-speed internet, your task is simple: collecting as much data as possible while avoiding data breaches and connection drops. Your secret weapon ? High-speed boost portals that will help you reach the next checkpoint, thus ensuring a stable AND speedy internet connection for all of Orange’s clients.

0RN63, the hero we deserve

Let us introduce you to 0RN63. The pronounciation of its name generated many internal debates at the agency so we won’t be too specific…just pronounce it as you like.

Our botfriend will help you satisfy your irrepressible desire to collect data in the game and let’s just say it’s not its first rodeo!

We wanted the game to have a sympathetic character to onboard an audience as diverse and broad as possible. The fact that he is orange, looks like an orange, and has a code-name that almost looks like the word “orange” is nothing more that the result of our limitless creativity.

As we still had some budget available after all the intense “Orange-related” brainstorming sessions, we decided to give the little guy a personality. He was meant to be a robot, granted… but he would not be a boring one by any means!

0RN63 is the complete package: cute, brave, incredibly fast, assertive, solution-oriented, playfull, loving and a bit sassy.
You don’t believe us? Just look at his exquisite body language for god’s sake!

An infinite tortuous tunnel

As the old saying goes:

Oranges are orange,
Tunnels are black,
This is not the time to take a nap!

The look & feel of the tunnel was key for the game to look good. It had to convey a sense of increasing speed within each level, but also had to bring some speed variations from one level to another.

As the game can go on forever (if you’re skilled enough… we never went passed level 20 at EPIC), we couldn’t custom-create each level. Solution? We developed a tunnel configurator that handles an infinite and dynamic balance between speed/shapes/patterns for all levels.

Yes, this game could go on FOREVER!
